What You Need To Know:
THE FOOT FIST WAY has some funny moments poking fun at martial arts schools. It also shows the protagonist changing, at least a bit at the end, his conceited macho attitudes toward life. The movie is filled, however, with abundantly gratuitous foul language and many crude sex and drug references. There are also some jokes about children being hurt and brief nudity. The worst part may be the movie’s references to children being near some of the vulgar language and drug content. That content slips into the abhorrent category. It’s hard to see how this comedy will find an audience, even among the crowd that likes such R-rated comedies.
Content:
(PaPaPa, AP, AB, B, LLL, VVV, SS, NN, AA, DD, MM) Very strong pagan worldview with a negative depiction of life in America, plus ironic scene mocking Christian faith where married couple with obvious problems say grace to Jesus before a meal, plus protagonist re-writes martial arts school oath to mention freedom, justice, good living, and building “a more peaceful world”; at least 110 obscenities, 18 strong profanities and seven light profanities, plus vulgar content such as man urinates on his wedding ring after wife betrays him a second time; very strong martial arts fighting with blood in one scene, strong punches and kicks (a few against children), and lots of other martial arts practicing and fighting; depicted adulterous sex and crude talk about sex, with child at a party with sexy women in skimpy outfits, including shot of boy with two women rubbing his head; Xerox photos of upper and rear female nudity, plus women in skimpy outfits and upper male nudity; alcohol use and drunkenness; smoking and references to drugs, including shot of boy looking at cocaine on table; and, arrogance and conceit in protagonist who sort of learns his lesson but not quite.
