Erica Moses was taught from a young age from her mother that “a man with no money is no money at all.” This is a principle Erica lives by as she strives to find work as an adult. After her career as a dancer doesn’t work out, she snags an up and coming singer rising to stardom in the music industry as her boyfriend. Thinking she has it made, Erica soon finds herself homeless and pregnant.
Forced to live out on the streets, Erica finds a place to live at a home for abused girls. Joan, the homeowner, does her best to help Erica, but Erica refuses. Back out on the streets with only a bottle of wine to survive, she returns to Joan. Joan not only gives Erica shelter and food, but helps her find her bigger purpose in the world. Desperate to forgive herself for neglecting her baby and allowing her to be burned in a fire, Erica searches to not only find herself again, but also the love and forgiveness her soul desperately needs.
