The story in A MATTER OF TIME is fantastic, with plenty of heartwarming moments. Sadly, the movie suffers from poor direction and distracting cinematography. Thankfully, by the end, most of these elements are easily forgotten and overshadowed by the movie’s inspiring moments. The greatest aspect of A MATTER OF TIME is its very strong Christian, Biblical worldview. Nathan feels as if one wrong decision has made his life miserable. But, he fails to see God’s plan through it all. Nathan must learn the importance of forgiveness, repentance, prayer, and finding God’s calling. All this is shown in a fun, entertaining way the whole family will enjoy.

In A MATTER OF TIME, freshman student Nathan Hanighan decides to surprise visit his girlfriend back at his hometown. Nathan’s reputation was tarnished among the townspeople for turning down a coveted basketball scholarship a year earlier.
Upon arriving home, Nathan realizes his girlfriend Sharon is not only uninterested in him, but has been seeing his best friend, Jeremiah, while Nathan has been at school. Feeling hurt and betrayed, Nathan leaves town to stay with his father, who’s been running away from his problems ever since his wife died.
Nathan stays with his dad, Curtis, for seven years. Before long, Curtis is ready to move on to the next town, but Nathan refuses to go with him. Nathan decides it’s time to go back home, this time for good.
When Nathan arrives home, he can’t help but notice how much has changed in the past seven years. His ex-girlfriend has married Jeremiah. Also, Jeremiah’s younger sister, Miranda, has moved into Nathan’s grandmother’s house, the same grandmother who raised him.
Nathan gets a job as Miranda’s assistant basketball coach for the local girls team. A friendship starts between them. However, old feelings for Sharon and bitterness towards Jeremiah begin to surface. Will Nathan get over his pain and find God’s plan for his life? Will Miranda become something more than a friend?

The biggest problem with A MATTER OF TIME is its production quality. The majority of the movie has poor direction, sloppy cinematography, and distracting audio design.
