BOO! A MADEA HALLOWEEN is a lightweight popcorn movie with some funny scenes. Audiences, who are fans of other Madea movies, may find this one comical as well. The dialogue could have been better, however, and the camerawork seems too grainy. BOO! has a strong moral worldview, with some positive Christian references, but Madea and her friends are constantly cursing or smoking marijuana, while making some vulgar jokes. BOO! A MADEA HALLOWEEN shows Tyler Perry once again playing Madea, who’s trying to stop her teenage granddaughter from going to a college fraternity party. BOO! A MADEA HALLOWEEN is not the best Tyler Perry movie, though it does have some funny moments, but there’s excessive cursing, some vulgar jokes and overall low quality.
Tyler Perry plays both Madea, and Brian, the father to a teenage girl named Tiffany. Tiffany has a disrespectful attitude toward her father and doesn’t want to do what he says. When Tiffany and her friends hear about a Halloween party at the fraternity down the street, they want to figure out a way to sneak out of the house to get there. Tiffany also thinks this is the way she can get into the popular group in high school.
Of course, Brian doesn’t want Tiffany going to the party, nor even talking to the fraternity guys. However, when Brian finds out he has to leave the house the same evening to work, he doesn’t know how he can stop his daughter. Calling Madea, his mother, he pleads with her to come and make sure Tiffany doesn’t leave.
Madea agrees to come to the house and watch Tiffany, but brings her friends with her, including Joe, Aunt Bam and Hattie. When Tiffany finds out they’re watching her, she plays a prank on them, telling them the house is haunted, and they will only be safe in the bedrooms. The four go to the bedrooms to stay safe, and Tiffany is able to sneak out, with her sweet, Christian friend, named Aday.
Tiffany and Aday meet up with the popular high school girls and meet some fraternity guys at the party. When Madea realizes Tiffany and Aday have left the house, Madea and her friends go to the fraternity house. Finally, Madea finds Tiffany in a room with the head of the fraternity. Most of the group gets back to the house, but Aday is missing and the house is filled with creepy sounds.

Tiffany has a disrespectful attitude toward her father, but, eventually, she and her father apologize to each other. Also, one scene shows Madea running into a church to flee zombies coming after her. A service is in progress in the church, and they ask Madea if she would like to be saved, to which she agrees, in order to protect her from the zombies. Overall, though, Madea and her friends are constantly cursing and smoking marijuana, while making some vulgar jokes. So, extreme caution is advised.
