The storyline of BRAIN DONORS, about a rich widow who hires a screwball attorney, Roland T. Flakfizer, to fulfill her late husband’s dream of founding a ballet company, is merely a vehicle for a hilarious movie. Three oddballs, including Flakfizer, soon put the three stooges to shame with their antics. Flakfizer goes about everything backwards, using double entendres all the while, and somehow manages to finagle what he wants before an individual realizes he has been had.
BRAIN DONORS, despite some slight sexual innuendo (no obscenities, however), is a funny film as the three main characters play off each other and do all sorts of oddball things. Even though the antics these three perform are outright silly and full of slapstick, perhaps not since the days of the three stooges and Abbott and Costello, can a viewer laugh continually and be so well entertained. Even the credits of BRAIN DONORS are extremely clever. For those who like slapstick comedy and who are not put off by some sexual innuendo, BRAIN DONORS recalls the proverb “A merry heart has a continual feast” (Proverbs 15:15).
