COME THE MORNING

COME THE MORNING revolves around the plight of the Gibson family and their efforts to locate their husband/father in Los Angeles after leaving their San Antonio home. In their search, they face several uncertain, seemingly hopeless, situations which nearly take their toll on the family … physically, emotionally and spiritually. However, Constance, the mother, exhibits strong faith in God throughout the ordeal, consistently asking God for help and guidance in their efforts. Her love, hope and perseverance carry her family as they search for their father and begin to see God work in their circumstances. The film contrasts the empty lives of alcoholic and homeless people with that of believers, showing that a life centered on Christ provides the faith, hope and steadfastness to carry them through even the darkest of times.

The entire cast performs wonderfully, but the youngest Gibson manages to steal several scenes all by herself. The story unfolds with good pace, keeping the viewer involved and interested. COME THE MORNING is a movie the entire family can enjoy and learn from together. Although alcohol use and abuse is portrayed several times, the destruction and hurt it brings is evident. COME THE MORNING portrays the hope that can only be found in Christ — hope that can help us through our circumstances — hope to guide us through the dark and into the light.
