What You Need To Know:

DANCER AND THE DAME is a comedy that focuses on police detective Rick Dancer, who’s been relegated to clerical duty. As a result, he’s become grouchy and egotistical. As part of his re-training, Dancer is partnered with Princess, a high-maintenance police dog, while he tries to renew his career. Princess is recovering from post-traumatic stress from seeing her partner die in action. The first case Dancer and Princess have concerns a man who pretends to be a philanthropist but is secretly a criminal.

DANCER AND THE DAME is a fairly well constructed comical mystery, with some witty dialogue, well-cast actors and solid production values. It boasts a good performance by Billy Gardell of TV’s MIKE AND MOLLY. Prayer and other positive moral elements (such as selfless loyalty and heroism) help give the movie considerable redemptive value and will touch the heart of families. Parents should be aware that DANCER AND THE DAME has some surprisingly violent, intense moments that warrant caution for younger children. Otherwise, however, DANCER AND THE DAME is a fun family adventure with great lessons and other positive qualities.
