ISLAMIC JESUS VERSUS BIBLICAL JESUS

What You Need To Know:

James Sundquist, author, speaker and recording artist, has thoroughly explored the Muslim scriptures and found 22 Scriptural reasons why the Islamic Jesus is not the same as the biblical Jesus. In a videotape called ISLAMIC JESUS VERSUS BIBLICAL JESUS, he presents this as part of a lecture to the Prophecy Club.

What becomes very clear is not only how different the Islamic Jesus is from the Jesus of Scripture, but also how confused Mohammed was. Mohammed references Mary as the sister of Aaron, somehow bridging several hundred years from Moses and the birth of Jesus. The fact that the Islamic Jesus dies, is never crucified, marries and has children, and is a lesser prophet than Mohammed, and that he comes back to kill the Jews, is truly shocking in its demented misinterpretation of who Jesus Christ was and is. The most interesting revelation is that there is no reference to a loving God in all the Islamic scriptures. In contrast, the Bible continually refers to the love of God that rescues men from their sins and gives them eternal life. James Sundquist has done the world a major service by putting together this analysis.

More Detail:

James Sundquist, author, speaker and terrific recording artist, has thoroughly explored the Muslim scriptures and found 22 Scriptural reasons why the Islamic Jesus is not the same as the biblical Jesus. In this videotape, he presents this as part of a lecture to a group known as the Prophecy Club.

What becomes very clear from his lecture is not only how different the Islamic Jesus, according to the Koran and the Hadiths, is from the Jesus of Scripture, but also how confused Mohammed was. Mohammed references Mary as the sister of Aaron, somehow bridging several hundred years from Moses and the birth of Jesus. The fact that the Islamic Jesus dies, is never crucified, marries and has children, is a lesser prophet than Mohammed, and that he comes back to kill the Jews, is truly shocking in its demented misinterpretation of who Jesus Christ was and IS.

The most interesting revelation is that there is no reference to a loving God in all the Islamic scriptures. In contrast, the Bible continually refers to the love of God, which of course can be summed up in the great verse, John 3:16, “And God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son so that those who believe in Him may have eternal life.”

James Sundquist has done the world a major service by putting together this analysis. However, looking at the Islamic description of Jesus, it is clear that it would be hard to witness to Muslims, since they have so denigrated who Jesus is, that he no longer offers any hope of salvation. Therefore, it is hoped that James will offer a reasoned apologetic to the Islamic community, based on a Scriptural exegesis. Thus, it is hoped that he will develop this lecture as a real apologetic in a manner that does not rely on a presupposition of the validity of the Christian scripture versus a presupposition of the lack of validity of the Islamic scripture. Christians will appreciate and immediately approve his perspective, but a more hermeneutically insightful approach will help win non-believers and Muslims.

Even so, this video lecture must be seen by everyone who cares and James is to be highly commended for producing it.
