What You Need To Know:
OUT COLD goes from one wacky incident to another, without much sense of building a coherent, compelling story. There’s also not much thought given to building the movie’s comedy to an appropriate crescendo of laughter. Finally, although the story between Rick and Anna has its sweeter moments, and the other characters are also not without potential, the story in OUT COLD is mostly a series of lame, offensive sexual jokes.

OUT COLD is an offensive slob comedy in search of a plot.
Four buddies, Rick, Luke, Anthony, and Luke’s brother Pig Pen, have fun on Alaska’s Bull Mountain snowboarding, drinking, looking for girls, working at the resort, and partying hard. When the town’s founder dies, his son decides to sell the mountain to slick Colorado ski mogul John Majors. Rick’s loyalties are divided because Majors enlists Rick’s help since Rick is the best snowboarder and most level-headed employee. Rick is also in love with Majors’ daughter Anna, whom Rick met in Mexico. Anna, however, is engaged to another guy, a doctor and a pilot, and one of the local women, a pretty, sweet-natured blonde named Jenny, is in love with Rick. It all comes to a head when Anna’s other beau arrives in town.
