Jimmy Hawkins has the opportunity to go to space by winning a competition at Space Camp, in SPACE WARRIORS. SPACE WARRIORS is a family television movie airing on the Hallmark Channel. It has a strong moral worldview teaching children to be humble, work hard, and do the right thing.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Jimmy Hawkins loves space and works at NASA giving tours. The opportunity to go into space arises when Jimmy gets accepted at Space Camp. Jimmy is thrilled, but his mother, Sally, isn’t thrilled. Sally is nervous because Jimmy’s father was on a mission to space where people died, and she tells Jimmy he can’t do something that dangerous. Already accepted into Space Camp, Jimmy contrives a lie that he will be camping with his father, but, in reality, he is at the camp.
Grouped together with other brilliant space campers striving to get to space, Jimmy is very excited. The team must work hard against the older, more experienced campers, in order to win the competition.
