What You Need To Know:
Many violent encounters sometimes become intense. Derek and his animal friends are threatened by hostile chases, rough treatment and hand battles. Clavius’ henchman tries to destroy Derek in a rock-slide and attacks with arrows, knives and a vicious wolf. Clavius even battles Derek with bolts of magical energy. Both Clavius and his henchmen are killed in violent events. Most of this action is not excessive, and only the youngest children may be frightened by it. The occult powers of the orb are portrayed as evil and not glorified. However, Odette allows her friends to use this evil power to help her aid Derek. Happily, the film is softened with plenty of clever comedy, music and romance.

More Detail:
This colorful animated adventure-comedy employs almost non-stop action, musical numbers and magical fantasy to entertain and amuse children. It is a sequel to the 1994 SWAN PRINCESS film produced by Nest Entertainment. In the original story, young Derek and Odette fell in love and were married in a medieval fairy land. Now, Derek (voiced by Douglas Sills) is preoccupied with ruling his newly inherited kingdom and battling the Evil Clavius (voice of Jake Williamson) who wants to take over his kingdom.
Clavius and his henchman live in an ominous mountain castle and are determined to find a powerful evil, occult sphere known as “the orb” to defeat Derek. Much of the story portrays the many battles between Clavius and his henchman and Derek and his three loyal, humorous animal friends – a frog, a bird and a turtle. Romantic moments between Derek and Odette, his new bride (voice of Michele Nicastro ), plus several clever, jazzy, musical numbers add to the film’s appeal.

However, Odette allows her friends to use this evil power to change her into a swan even through she does this to aid Derek. Happily, the film is softened with plenty of clever comedy, music and romance.
