THE RAID: REDEMPTION

What You Need To Know:

THE RAID: REDEMPTION is an action-packed crime thriller from Indonesia. A group of heavily armed, elite policemen are ordered to storm an apartment complex controlled by an evil crime lord. When the police enter the building, they are immediately ambushed by the crime lord’s forces. The evil crime lord, offers lifelong sanctuary to every killer, thug, rapist and thief in the building. All they have to do is help him wipe out all the policemen in the building. Eventually, Rama, a rookie member of the elite police force, must take the fallen police leader’s place. He gets some unexpected help, but there’s a traitor among the police officers. Rama must also face the crime lord’s best fighter – a martial arts expert who goes by the name “Mad Dog.”

THE RAID: REDEMPTION is non-stop, sometimes brutal action violence. There’s a ton of martial arts fighting. Ultimately, the movie becomes a bit repetitious. However, the close quarters hand-to-hand combat does feature many amazing stunts, although some of the fight scenes go on much too long. THE RAID: REDEMTPION contains abundant gratuitous foul language. MOVIEGUIDE® doesn’t recommend it for media-wise viewers.

More Detail:

THE RAID: REDEMPTION is an Indonesian crime thriller about a group of heavily armed, elite policemen storming an apartment complex controlled by evil gangsters. Of course, things go horribly wrong. So, the surviving police officers must fight their way out of the building.

When the police enter the building, they are immediately ambushed by the gangster leader’s forces. Tama, the gangster leader, offers lifelong sanctuary to every killer, rapist and thief in the building in return for their help.

Eventually, Rama, the rookie member of the elite police force, must stand in for the fallen leader of the police forces. He gets some unexpected help, but there’s a traitor among the police officers. Rama must also defeat the gangster leader’s right-hand man – a martial arts expert who goes by the name “Mad Dog.”

THE RAID: REDEMPTION is non-stop, sometimes brutal action violence. There’s a ton of martial arts fighting. Ultimately, the movie becomes a bit repetitious, even though the close quarters hand-to-hand combat features many amazing stunts. Also, some of the fight scenes go on much too long.

THE RAID: REDEMTPION also contains abundant gratuitous foul language. Therefore, MOVIEGUIDE® doesn’t recommend it for media-wise viewers. Two sequels are planned, however, featuring the rookie policeman Rama. So, expect more of the same.
