More Detail:
In the “Brothers” episode of THE ADVENTURES OF PUSS IN BOOTS, mysterious ninjas are attacking San Lorenzo and stealing from the townsfolk. Puss steps up to help and brings orphan Toby along. However, he immediately regrets that decision because Toby drives him crazy. Toby is soon kidnapped by the ninjas, who turn out to be Toby’s long lost brothers. This causes Puss to feel an emotion he never felt before: sadness. The ninja brothers try to convince Toby to steal the key to the San Lorenzo treasure house from Puss and join them in their quest to be “heroes.” Will Toby go along with his brothers?
“Brothers” nicely portrays how anyone can easily be led astray, even by one’s own family members. Toby is a likable character. Many people probably will relate to him, because he’s pressured into making the choice of being accepted into his family or taking a stand for what he knows is right. This PUSS IN BOOTS episode is well written and has some funny moments. Even better, “Brothers” teaches strong moral, redemptive lessons about doing the right thing.
