More Detail:
THE BOSS BABY: BACK IN BUSINESS is a Netflix series based on the popular animated movie. The first episode, “Scooter Buskie,” focuses on Baby Inc.’s main business goal: that babies worldwide are Number 1, as opposed to household pets. The main conflict comes from a disruptive baby in the neighborhood, Scooter, who sets off the radar of Baby Corp. Scooter’s incessant crying and tantrums have turned most of the neighbors against babies. Boss Baby, his coworkers Jimbo and Staci, and his older brother, Tim, hatch a plan to fix the situation. They switch Scooter with another baby, but Baby Corp.’s radar reveals that even more neighbors are grumpy, because Scooter’s parents realize the new baby isn’t really their child. To fix the situation, Tim returns Scooter to his family and reminds Boss Baby that business doesn’t trump family.
“Scooter Buskie” is very entertaining. The story’s structure brings complete clarity to the conflict and its resolution. Even better, it has a strong moral worldview. The worldview uplifts family as an institution and has no foul language. This makes “Scooter Buskie” appropriate for all ages.
