More Detail:
Season 2 of WHEN HOPE CALLS is streaming on Great American Family. The third and fourth episodes see more changes come to town, from Nora’s work to fill her sister’s shoes in Brookfield to Sam’s difficulties figuring out what to do with his life now that he has gold and the arrival of Hannah Lawrence, who now owns the Lawrence ranch.
Episode 3 focuses on Nora’s efforts to bring a new orphan girl to Brookfield’s orphanage. Mountie Michael Fletcher aids her, and while the pair bicker, it’s clear that Nora and Michael are forming a friendship. They bring home Jenny, a young girl orphaned at 12.
Back in Brookfield, the arrival of Hannah Lawrence, niece of the late Ray Lawrence, rocks the town. She’s come to officially take ownership of his ranch and auction it off as quickly as possible so she can return to her life as a fashion designer in the city. Sam starts to think about what he might do once his gold claim is confirmed. Upon hearing the Lawrence ranch will go up for auction, he considers buying it — but first, tests out the job on another ranch in Brookfield.
In Episode 4, Jenny acclimates to life in Brookfield and the orphanage. She’s a big hit with the other children and lends a hand at every opportunity, but as Nora works to gather all records of Jenny from old orphanages, it becomes clear that Jenny might not be who she says she is.
While Nora works to figure out Jenny’s story, Sam continues to try to figure out what he will do with his gold. What will his next plan be?
Meanwhile, Hannah feels conflicted about selling the ranch, especially as some new potential buyers enter the ring. She must decide between auctioning it off or allowing her emotional attachment to Brookfield to keep her in town.
